The Competition Section Annual Conference 2010 took place in London on Thursday 20 May at the Renaissance Chancery Court hotel in London.
The Competition Section Annual Conference 2010 took place in London on Thursday 20 May. The keynote address was given by the Chairman of the OFT, Philip Collins on the latest developments in the OFT and looking forward to future objectives. There were a series of panels where leading practitioners, economists and officials covered topical issues in litigation, merger policy from an economic perspective, effective compliance programmes and cartel enforcement. The day finished with an agency roundtable discussion of priorities for the new decade with input from participation by senior officials from the US FTC, the OFT and the European Commission. The Conference was very well attended with around 120 delegates.
